Founded in 1998, by Marcia Fountain, President & CEO, the organization was formerly, known as the Minority Entrepreneurs Network Association, Inc. Realizing the need that entrepreneurs had in the areas of personal development, M.E.N.A., Inc., became The Minority Entrepreneurs Training Association, Inc., a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. The mission is to promote and develop entrepreneurship and economic development for minorities in the State of Connecticut. M.E.T.A., Inc., is a State of CT Certified Black American Woman Owned Small/Minority Business Enterprise.
Seminars and consulting services range from business start-up, marketing, branding, networking and resource development, etc. Entrepreneurs also have access to experienced mentors.
